Who we are
NU:BASS Generation (“we”, “us”) organises under-18s drum & bass events in the UK. Our website, newsletter and ticketing are operated on our behalf by Selfstub, who act as our data processor.
What we collect
- Newsletter signups: your email address and a record of your consent. We use double opt-in — you must confirm your address before we send you anything.
- Ticket purchases: your name, email address and order details, processed through our self-hosted ticketing system (Pretix). Card details are handled directly by our payment provider (Stripe) — we never see or store them.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) used for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- Sending you the event announcements you signed up for (your consent).
- Processing and delivering your tickets (our contract with you).
- Keeping the site and checkout secure (our legitimate interest).
Who we share it with
Only the processors needed to run the service: Selfstub (hosting and operations), Pretix (ticketing), Stripe (payments) and our email delivery provider. We never sell your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Order and transaction data is kept for as long as the law requires for accounting and record-keeping.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. You can also ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to how we process it. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Under-18s
Our events are for ages 16–18. We only collect the minimum information needed to run the newsletter and ticketing.
Contact
You can reach us via the social links in the footer of this site, or by replying to any email we send you.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
